أثار النجم الأمريكي ليونيل ريتشي قلق جمهوره بعد تعرّضه لوعكة صحية مفاجئة خلال افتتاح جولته المشتركة مع فرقة «إيرث ويند آند فاير»في الولايات المتحدة، ما اضطره إلى إنهاء حفله قبل موعده المقرر.
إرهاق وعدم اتزان
وخلال الحفل الذي أقيم في قاعة غراند كازينو أرينا بمدينة سانت بول في ولاية مينيسوتا، بدا ريتشي، البالغ من العمر 77 عاماً، في حالة من الإرهاق وعدم الاتزان أثناء أدائه إحدى أشهر أغنياته «Dancing on the Ceiling»، وأظهرت مقاطع فيديو انتشرت على مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي الفنان المخضرم وهو يجلس أكثر من مرة على خشبة المسرح خلال العرض.
أشعر بالدوار
وبحسب ما نقلت وسائل إعلام أمريكية، خاطب ريتشي الجمهور قائلاً: «عندما تشعر بالدوار، اجلس»، في إشارة إلى حالته الصحية المفاجئة.
ورغم ذلك، حاول مواصلة الحفل، فانتقل إلى البيانو ليؤدي أغنية «Three Times a Lady»، إلا أنه اضطر بعد ذلك إلى إعلان استراحةٍ قصيرة على أمل استعادة نشاطه ومتابعة الأمسية.
إعلان الإلغاء
بعد مغادرة ريتشي المسرح، واصلت فرقته الموسيقية العزف لنحو 15 دقيقة، قبل أن تنسحب بدورها، وانتظر الجمهور نحو 40 دقيقة إضافية قبل أن يظهر عازف الساكسوفون دينو سولدو ليعلن الخبر الذي لم يكن الحاضرون يتمنونه.
وقال سولدو للجمهور: «للأسف، ليونيل لا يشعر بأنه بخير، ولن يتمكن من استكمال الحفل»، شاكراً الحضور على صبرهم وتفهمهم.
ولم يصدر حتى الآن أي بيان رسمي يوضح طبيعة الحالة الصحية لريتشي أو مدى تأثيرها على المواعيد القادمة من الجولة الفنية.
26 محطة
وأعلن ريتشي وفرقة «إيرث ويند آند فاير» في وقت سابق من هذا العام جولة أمريكية مشتركة تضم 26 حفلاً في عدد من المدن الكبرى.
وانطلقت الجولة من مينيسوتا، على أن تشمل محطات بارزة في نيويورك داخل قاعة ماديسون سكوير غاردن، إضافة إلى لوس أنجليس، قبل أن تختتم في مدينة أوستن بولاية تكساس في 14 أغسطس القادم.
The American star Lionel Richie raised concerns among his audience after experiencing a sudden health issue during the opening of his joint tour with the band “Earth, Wind & Fire” in the United States, which forced him to end his concert earlier than scheduled.
Fatigue and Imbalance
During the concert held at the Grand Casino Arena in Saint Paul, Minnesota, Richie, who is 77 years old, appeared to be in a state of fatigue and imbalance while performing one of his most famous songs, “Dancing on the Ceiling.” Videos that circulated on social media showed the veteran artist sitting multiple times on stage during the performance.
I Feel Dizzy
According to reports from American media, Richie addressed the audience saying, “When you feel dizzy, sit down,” referring to his sudden health condition.
Despite this, he attempted to continue the concert, moving to the piano to perform the song “Three Times a Lady,” but he was later forced to announce a short break in hopes of regaining his energy and continuing the evening.
Cancellation Announcement
After Richie left the stage, his band continued to play for about 15 minutes before they also withdrew. The audience waited an additional 40 minutes before saxophonist Dino Soldo appeared to announce the news that the attendees did not wish to hear.
Soldo told the audience, “Unfortunately, Lionel does not feel well and will not be able to continue the concert,” thanking the audience for their patience and understanding.
No official statement has yet been released clarifying the nature of Richie’s health condition or its impact on the upcoming dates of the tour.
26 Stops
Earlier this year, Richie and the band “Earth, Wind & Fire” announced a joint American tour consisting of 26 concerts in several major cities.
The tour kicked off in Minnesota and is set to include notable stops in New York at Madison Square Garden, as well as Los Angeles, before concluding in Austin, Texas, on August 14.
