توفي اليوم (الإثنين) مؤذن المسجد الحرام الشيخ إبراهيم بن عادل مدني، أحد أعضاء مكبرية المسجد الحرام، بحسب ما تداوله عدد من منسوبي الحرمين والمهتمين بشؤون الأذان عبر منصات التواصل الاجتماعي.
وشهدت المنصات تداول مقاطع صوتية ومرئية من أذان الشيخ المدني وتكبيراته في المسجد الحرام، فيما انتشر وسم يحمل اسمه بالتزامن مع نبأ وفاته.
من أصوات مكبرية الحرم
وكان الشيخ إبراهيم المدني واحداً من بين 24 مؤذناً أساسياً في المسجد الحرام، يتناوب ستة منهم يومياً على رفع الأذان للصلوات الخمس، إلى جانب أذان الفجر الأول.
وعُرف الشيخ المدني بأذان الفجر وأداء التكبيرات، كما تولى مهمة «التبليغ» خلف الإمام من مكبرية المسجد الحرام.
ذكرى أول أذان
وسبق للشيخ المدني أن استعاد، خلال لقاء في بودكاست «أشرقت» تناول مكبرية الحرمين، ذكريات أول أذان رفعه في المسجد الحرام، موضحاً أنه بكى عندما شاهد الطائفين حول الكعبة وهم يستمعون إلى صوته.
وقال متسائلاً بتواضع: «من أنا حتى يرتفع صوتي في هذا المكان الطاهر؟».
وتناول الشيخ المدني خلال اللقاء أيضاً الفروق بين المدرستين المكية والمدنية في طريقة أداء الأذان.
Today (Monday), the muezzin of the Grand Mosque, Sheikh Ibrahim bin Adel Madani, one of the members of the Grand Mosque’s muezzin team, passed away, according to what was circulated by several staff members of the Two Holy Mosques and those interested in the affairs of the call to prayer on social media platforms.
Social media platforms witnessed the circulation of audio and video clips of Sheikh Madani’s call to prayer and his takbirs in the Grand Mosque, while a hashtag bearing his name spread concurrently with the news of his death.
Voices of the Grand Mosque’s Muezzins
Sheikh Ibrahim Madani was one of 24 primary muezzins at the Grand Mosque, with six of them taking turns daily to call the adhan for the five daily prayers, in addition to the first Fajr adhan.
Sheikh Madani was known for his Fajr adhan and his performance of the takbirs, and he also took on the task of “announcing” behind the imam from the Grand Mosque’s muezzin platform.
Memory of the First Adhan
Sheikh Madani had previously recalled, during an interview on the podcast “Ishraq,” which discussed the muezzins of the Two Holy Mosques, the memories of the first adhan he raised in the Grand Mosque, explaining that he cried when he saw the pilgrims around the Kaaba listening to his voice.
He humbly asked, “Who am I to have my voice raised in this holy place?”
During the interview, Sheikh Madani also discussed the differences between the Meccan and Medinan schools in the way the adhan is performed.
