الدوحة: حذرت السفارة الأمريكية في الرياض رعاياها وطالبتهم بتوخي الحذر إزاء احتمال وقوع هجمات بطائرات مسيرة أو صواريخ على السعودية.
وقالت السفارة في بيان على منصة “إكس”، الاثنين، إن مطار الملك خالد الدولي في العاصمة الرياض، ومطار الملك فهد الدولي في الدمام تعرضا للاستهداف، محذرة من احتمال إلغاء رحلات جوية أو إغلاق المجال الجوي.
وأوضحت أن موظفي الحكومة الأمريكية العاملين في السعودية باتوا ملزمين بالحصول على تصريح خاص لاستخدام مطارات الرياض وجدة والدمام.
ودعت السفارة المواطنين الأمريكيين إلى توخي أقصى درجات الحذر عند استخدام جميع المطارات الرئيسية في السعودية.

The U.S. Mission is aware of additional attacks on King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh and targeted attack on King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on October 11.
U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia require special authorization to use the King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, as well as the airports in Jeddah and Dammam. Please take extreme caution when using all major airports in Saudi Arabia.
U.S. citizens should be aware of potential flight cancellations, airspace closures, and travel disruptions. We recommend checking your flight departure status directly with the airline and with the airport.

U.S. government employees working in Saudi Arabia are not allowed to travel within 20 miles of the Yemen border due to safety risks and need special authorization for travel to the provinces of Jizan, Asir, Najran, and the cities of Qatif, Yanbu, and Taif.

كما أوضح البيان أنه يُحظر على موظفي الحكومة الأمريكية السفر إلى المناطق الواقعة ضمن نطاق نحو 32 كيلومترا من الحدود اليمنية بسبب المخاطر الأمنية.
وأشار إلى أن سفر الموظفين إلى مناطق جازان وعسير ونجران، ومدن القطيف وينبع والطائف، أصبح خاضعا للحصول على تصريح خاص.
ومنذ 5 أكتوبر/ تشرين الأول الجاري، تعرضت 5 مطارات سعودية لـ10 هجمات نفذتها جماعة الحوثي اليمنية، وأسفرت عن مقتل 19 شخصا وإصابة مئات، فضلا عن أضرار مادية واضطرابات في حركة الطيران.
ويأتي ذلك في ظل تصعيد عسكري متواصل بين السعودية وجماعة الحوثي منذ يوليو/ تموز الماضي، شمل استهداف مرافق للطيران المدني ومنشآت للطاقة في المملكة.
