كشفت إذاعة Franceinfo أن مديرة متحف اللوفر، لورانس دي كار، تقدمت باستقالتها إلى الرئيس الفرنسي إيمانويل ماكرون، الذي وافق عليها واعتبرها «تصرفاً يتسم بروح المسؤولية».
وبحسب التقرير، فإن دي كار كانت قد حاولت التنحي في أكتوبر 2025، إلا أن ماكرون رفض طلبها آنذاك نظراً لاقتراب مشروع ترميم واسع للمتحف.
أزمات متلاحقة
شهد خريف 2025 سلسلة حوادث أثارت جدلاً واسعاً، بعدما تكشفت مشكلات تتعلق بسوء حالة البنية التحتية الداخلية وأنابيب المياه، ما وضع إدارة المتحف تحت ضغط متزايد.
سرقة مدوية
في 19 أكتوبر، تعرّض اللوفر لعملية سطو مثيرة، حيث تمكن لصوص من سرقة تسع قطع مجوهرات تاريخية، بينها تيجان وأقراط وقلائد ودبابيس تعود لملكات وإمبراطورات فرنسيات.
وقدّرت الخسائر بنحو 88 مليون يورو، فيما أوقفت السلطات عدداً من المشتبه بهم ووجهت اتهامات إلى خمسة أشخاص. وحتى الآن، لم تُسترد القطع المسروقة، بينما لا تزال التحقيقات جارية.
إرث تاريخي
افتُتح متحف اللوفر عام 1793، وكان في الأصل مقراً لملوك فرنسا، قبل أن يتحول إلى أكبر وأشهر متحف فني في العالم من حيث عدد الزوار سنوياً.
Franceinfo revealed that the director of the Louvre Museum, Laurence de Car, submitted her resignation to French President Emmanuel Macron, who accepted it and considered it “an act of responsibility.”
According to the report, de Car had attempted to resign in October 2025, but Macron rejected her request at that time due to the impending large-scale renovation project for the museum.
Ongoing Crises
The fall of 2025 witnessed a series of incidents that sparked widespread controversy, as issues related to the poor condition of the internal infrastructure and water pipes came to light, putting the museum’s management under increasing pressure.
High-profile Theft
On October 19, the Louvre was subjected to a dramatic burglary, where thieves managed to steal nine pieces of historical jewelry, including crowns, earrings, necklaces, and brooches belonging to French queens and empresses.
The losses were estimated at around 88 million euros, while authorities arrested several suspects and charged five individuals. So far, the stolen items have not been recovered, and investigations are still ongoing.
Historical Legacy
The Louvre Museum was opened in 1793 and was originally the residence of the kings of France before it transformed into the largest and most famous art museum in the world in terms of annual visitors.
